Projects Coordinator

Hours: 21 hours per week, permanent 
Salary: £14,728 (£26,300 FTE)

Citizens Advice New Forest (CANF) are looking for a Projects Coordinator. Working closely with project managers, advisers, funders and internal teams, you will help ensure projects are well coordinated, performance is monitored effectively, and contractual commitments are met. From maintaining project systems and supporting reporting requirements to coordinating meetings, communications and service developments, you will help keep projects running smoothly and efficiently.  

This role would suit someone with strong organisational and communication skills who enjoys bringing people, information and processes together to achieve positive outcomes. It may be particularly attractive to someone at the beginning of their project management career who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment. We are committed to developing talent and will consider sponsoring the successful candidate to achieve the APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) as part of their professional development journey.

We are looking for candidates who:

• Has experience supporting the planning, coordination and successful delivery of projects, services and activities.
• Builds positive and effective relationships with colleagues, partners, clients and other stakeholders.
• Is highly organised, with strong administrative, communication and IT skills, and excellent attention to detail.
• Can work independently and collaboratively to maintain accurate records, produce clear reports, support decision-making, and ensure confidentiality and data protection requirements are met.

Trainee Adviser

Hours:  Full-time 37.5 hours (part-time considered)
Salary:  £26,300
Location:  Totton with some travel across the New Forest area

Citizens Advice New Forest (CANF) are seeking a dedicated Trainee Adviser to join our team.

As a Trainee Adviser, you will receive comprehensive training to become a client adviser, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of our service. You will develop the skills needed to provide high-quality advice on a range of issues, including financial hardship, welfare rights, employment, housing and family matters.

Trainees usually become proficient in their roles within 12-18 months.

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Good communication skills, with the ability to listen carefully, ask questions, and support clients in a respectful and empathetic way
• Willingness to learn and research information, with the ability to explain advice clearly both verbally and in writing
• Basic IT skills, including the ability to use databases, online resources, email, and Microsoft Office applications
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage tasks, keep accurate records, and work towards agreed targets
• Understanding of confidentiality and professionalism, including handling sensitive information appropriately
• Commitment to the values of Citizens Advice, including equality, diversity, inclusion, and providing a high-quality service to all clients
